General |
"Linton was in 2nd Battalion. He was
badly wounded - hit in the stomach by a bullet at Cape Helles. I
was close to him at the time in Tommy's Trench on May 8th 1915. He
was left lying in the trench; we advanced about 600 yards and dug
ourselves in. We held the ground."
